Are you interested in travelling to Israel? Try a unique experience by staying on a kibbutz. A kibbutz is a collective community. Traditionally based on agriculture, nowadays, many kibbutzim (that's "kibbutz" in the plural) rely on industry for their maintenance.

On Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu, for example, you can learn Hebrew for a few months at a time in their "ulpan." Volunteer activities on a kibbutz can include taking care of animals, such as cows and horses, working with children, helping in a kitchen or laundry facility, and other experiences that will help you get acquainted with Israeli culture.

On a kibbutz you can meet other volunteers from around the world. Travelling to Israel and staying at a kibbutz can be a safe, fun, way to encounter a different culture and create friendships that can last a lifetime.

Your child's Bar Mitzvah is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Having this unique experience at the kotel, the Western Wall, will be the ultimate memory for a Jewish boy coming of age. Whether your background is Orhodox, Conservative, Reform or Reconstructionist, you can find the right Israel Bar Mitzvah experience for your child or grandchild. Is there a better way to introduce a young man into Jewish adulthood than letting him read from the Torah just meters away from the future Holy Temple?

While in Israel, you'll have a chance to walk in the paths of our holy ancestors or just hang out and enjoy a different culture. On the Sabbath, you can marvel inside the reconstructed historical Hurva synagogue. During the week, you can enjoy tours around Jerusalem's historical sites, including the wall tunnels, the Tower of David Museum, and Massada. If you enjoy nature, try exploring the ecological nature reserve, Neot Kedumim. Love water activities? A trip to Eilat will invite you to swim alongside fish in their natural habitat.

A Bar Mitzvah tour to Israel is a great gift of lasting memories.
